Whenever you select a concept in Daylight, you see the number of that concept's exact and conceptual matches in the Concept Details pane.
Exact matches, highlighted by a solid underline in the verbatim text, represent the number of documents where exact matches to your search term appeared in the dataset. Linguistically speaking, Luminoso takes into account surface and "stemmed" forms of the term/concept word.
For example, "pour" and "poured" are exact matches in Daylight. "Love my beer" and "love the beer" are also examples of exact matches.
Conceptual matches, which appear with a dashed underline in the matching documents section, are up to the top 20 terms with an association score greater than 0.60 to the concept you selected concept.
When you search for a term, the verbatim results include a percentage of the discussion volume that includes both exact and conceptual matches for your specified term.
In this example, "chocolate" is the selected concept, so top related concepts include “dark chocolate” and “milk chocolate.” Conceptual matches in this dataset include a variety of other flavors, like "roasted coffee" "dark fruit" and "roasted malt." These terms were used in similar contexts to "chocolate," the selected concept.
